“The West Beach Lions Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month for our Dinner meeting.

Our Club had the honour and privilege of hosting Mr Neil Davis at our Dinner meeting held on Wednesday, 16th October 2019, who gave a presentation on the Sammy D Foundation.

The Sammy D Foundation was founded by Nat Cook and Neil Davis, the Parents of Sam Davis, who was tragically taken from them too early in his life; on the 4th May 2008 by a "One-Punch" hit.

The Purpose / Mission of the Sammy D Foundation is to educate young people on the impact of bullying, violence and alcohol fuelled violence, by providing relevant age appropriate information, knowledge and tools. The Foundation empowers young people to make positive life decisions for a better community. Click on the below link for more information. https://www.sammydfoundation.org.au/”

    National Pharmacies...
"The Lions Club Charity collects your donated glasses from our stores, they then test them and pack them so they’re ready to be hand delivered to those in need both near and far with the Recycle for Sight team. So do some good and you’ll not only feel good about it, you’ll look good too."

So, why not donate your used spectacles to us and we will then forward them on for cleaning and polishing so they can be sent for distribution to the rest of the world.
In September, we sent 250 pair of glasses to Lions Recycle for Sight.
Our many thanks go out to Qantas Airlines, Virgin Airlines, Spec Savers West Lakes, Salvation Shop Fulham Gardens, Bupa Optical West Lakes and our very own members.
Please contact us for an address for donations.

LCIF Fundraiser - Australia's Campaign 100 Chairperson for LCIF, PCC Lou Onley, invites you to Follow Your Rainbow...

While practicing safe social distancing over the past few months, Lou let his usual neat number two hair style grow wild. In true Lions fashion, there's a greater good at play.

Before Lou cuts his hair, he wants you or your club to do two things:

    1. Donate to LCIF by 26 July 2020. How to donate - follow the link below to find out how to donate.

    2. Once you have donated, follow the second link to register your donation and vote for the colour you'd like to see on Lou's hair. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LCIFLou

The colour that receives the most votes will win and Lou has agreed to wear it for the month of August! Join the challenge and support Lions Clubs International Foundation.
